Jay Wiffen

Who We Are

I’m Jay Wiffen – the face behind the name of JW Electrical. I started my business in 2014 after working as an electrician in Wiltshire for more than a decade, gaining valuable all-round experience in the industry.

When I started my own business I made a pledge – only the highest quality workmanship will do for my clients, and reliable, honest customer service is my priority. I and my team prove every day that we live up to this commitment.

We’re based in Devizes, but are happy to accept work within a 30 mile or so radius of our home town – in Swindon, Bath, Salisbury and anywhere in between.

We carry out all sorts of electrical projects and jobs large and small for home-owners, landlords, businesses and organisations in the local area. Our prices are very competitive and we give free, no-obligation quotations.

Qualified & Competent

Accreditations & Affiliations

Our electricians are City & Guilds qualified and competent to undertake domestic or commercial electrical installation work in compliance with the current (18th Edition) of the IET Wiring Regulations – the national standard to which all domestic and industrial wiring must conform.

We are certified by the NICEIC (the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) – an organisation which regulates the training and work of electrical enterprises in the UK. This means we are authorised to carry out electrical safety checks and issue electrical safety certificates for those who need them, such as landlords, insurance companies, home-owners or solicitors.

We’re also proud to be official suppliers and installers of the technologically advanced, energy-efficient Rointe remote-controlled electric heating systems.

Modern Solutions

Energy Efficient Electrical Solutions

We make sure we have our finger on the pulse of the latest technology, and are local specialists in energy efficient electrical solutions such as LED lighting systems, connecting smart home devices, installing electric vehicle charging points at home and in workplaces, and fitting data cabling in commercial spaces.

We’re capable of fitting new consumer units and wiring up new builds and extensions, but not averse to you calling us in to move a socket or light fitting.

We’d love to chat to you about how you can upgrade and improve your electrical systems, or explain how Rointe low consumption heating can offer a “green” alternative and save money in the long run.

We’re passionate about what we do and look forward to working for you.
